A fight between a Yonko and a Fleet Admiral would surely be memorable to One Piece fans.

Given that many major players in the Final Saga are from the Worst Generation and the fact that there are others who are expected to play smaller roles, fans are looking at this pirate generation taking over in the Final Saga of One Piece in more ways than one.

The Worst Generation As Powerful Pirates

The Worst Generation came into existence on the island of Sabaody Archipelago. At the time, these pirates were known as the 11 Supernovas and they were a powerful group of pirates who had made it to the island of Sabaody with a bounty of 100 million berries or higher. Essentially, achieving this level of fame was believed to be unprecedented. While pirates certainly had achieved this level of fame while reaching Sabaody, it was the first time in history that a massive group of pirates did so at the same time. That is precisely why this generation of pirates was feared over others.

As the story went on, the members of the 11 Supernova continued making waves and, following the events of the Paramount War, this group was known as the Worst Generation, thanks to the addition of Blackbeard, who caused great chaos in the Marine HQ itself. Ever since then, this pirate group, called the Worst Generation, has done some of the most interesting things in the story, especially in the New World, where the second half of the story is heavily focused on. As fans know, two members of the Straw Hat Pirates are part of the Worst Generation and that means that there will always be focus on this group through them, however, in the New World, the other members of the Worst Generation have also been prominent.

Right from the get-go, fans were introduced to the likes of Trafalgar Law, who played a significant role in the Dressrosa arc and was the trigger for the war against Yonko Kaido. He played a significant role in the story, and just like him, other members of the Worst Generation also ended up playing bigger roles in the story. For instance, Capone Gang Bege ended up playing a significant role in the Whole Cake Island arc of One Piece, and Oda also made sure to throw some light on other members of the Worst Generation while the Straw Hat Pirates continued their own journeys. The likes of Kid, Apoo, and Hawkins were seen teaming up together and, for better or for worse, everyone in the Worst Generation was seen on the move. The biggest of all players in the Worst Generation was, undoubtedly, Blackbeard.

During the timeskip, he had already established himself as an Emperor of the Sea and acquired a 2.247 billion Barry Bounty. He had taken over the vast majority of Whitebeard's own territories, and his strength was believed to be insurmountable. Blackbeard became the face of the Worst Generation and for all the right reasons.

The Worst Generation In Wano

In the Wano country Arc of One Piece, the Worst Generation managed to do some incredible things. This arc saw the most members of the Worst Generation get involved heavily, and as fans know, there are 12 members of the Worst Generation in total. In this arc, out of those 12, 8 members were seen being directly involved and these were Luffy, Zoro, Law, Kid, Apoo, Hawkins, X Drake, and Killer. All of them played a major role in the Wano War in one way or another. When it comes to the most significant players in the Wano arc, Luffy, Law, and Kid took on the biggest of tasks.

One Piece: Why Conqueror's Haki Is Rare In The Marines

The marines do not have many conqueror's haki users and here's why.

While Luffy fought against Kaido, Kid and Law fought against Big Mom. These pirate captains were incredible in Wano and made a great name for themselves. Luffy managed to defeat Kaido, while Law and Kid toppled Big Mom as well. Both of these Yonko were ripped from their thrones and a new era was ushered in. Luffy, Law, and Kid were all given bounties of 3 billion berries each. Of course, Zoro also played a significant role in the Wano arc, however, not as big as the other three. He managed to defeat King the Wildfire and he also played a somewhat exciting role against Kaido. Zoro received the bounty of 1.111 billion berries for his incredible accomplishments.

Meanwhile, Killer, the right-hand man of Kid, was also somewhat important in Wano and he ended up playing an exciting role in the Onigashima war, where not only did he take part in the battle against Kaido and Big Mom but he also fought against Hawkins and defeated him. The other three remaining Worst Generation members were all losers of the battle. X Drake, despite playing an important role in the arc, ended up being defeated by the members of the CP 0, while Apoo turned tail and proved himself to be a backstabber. Hawkins lost to Killer and his fate has been unknown ever since.

The Worst Generation In The Final Saga

One Piece: The Role Of The Worst Generation In The Final Saga, Explained (5)

In the Final Saga of One Piece, the Worst Generation is going to be very important, and some members of the group have already taken focus. The most important thing here is that fans should now expect every member of the Worst Generation to be at the forefront of things. For instance, Kid and Law have already been dealt with in the Final Saga, which means that they will not be relevant at least for a few arcs in the story. Similarly, X Drake, Hawkins, and Apoo are also not likely going to be relevant anytime soon in the story. This leaves fans with some very exciting characters. As fans know already, the likes of Luffy and Zoro will always be at the forefront of things, and the same can be said for Blackbeard, who has already started making waves. Blackbeard has acquired a 3.996 billion berry bounty, which is absolutely staggering and he continues to get stronger with each passing day. This leaves fans with the likes of Capone Gang Bege, Jewelry Bonney, and Urouge.

Bege has not been seen in the story for quite a while and it is highly unlikely that he will make any moves anytime soon. Bonney and Urouge, on the other hand, are going to be two important characters in the Final Saga. Bonney has already been heavily involved in the events of the Egghead Island arc, and it can also be said that she will be extremely important in the Final War against the Celestial Dragons, especially given her history and hatred for these despicable beings. Bonney might even end up becoming a member of the Straw Hat Crew, and that has fans excited as well.

As far as Urouge goes, he will, at some point, have to be involved in the main plot. Oda has been saving Urouge and Bonney for last and that only means that the roles that these characters will have to play will be far more exciting than the others. Put together, the likes of Luffy, Zoro, Bonney, Urouge, and Blackbeard will be at the forefront of things from the Worst Generation in the Final Saga. The likes of Law could join later on in the arc once he recovers and Kid's fate remains unknown at the moment.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. Since One Piece is going to be on break, the release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1104, is set to be January 21, 2024.
