The Tech Boost program helps nonprofits invest in technology equipment and services that enrich the lives of community members while fulfilling their missions. DownCity Design has exciting news! We’re honored to be named a 2024 Citizens Champion in Action for our efforts to train aspiring designers and builders to prioritize environmental sustainability. The one in the old studio is very small, so you can’t really move around or get work done when there are too many people trying to use the tools. DownCity Design is on the move! Over the past year, we have been renovating a new Community Design Studio at 370 Cranston Street in Providence to address our growth as an organization. This new space will allow us to expand our free design education programming for youth and adults, create additional service projects for civic spaces, and support a more equitable creative sector here in RI.
